What Is A2 Stainless Steel?

Stainless steel of this grade is the standard industrial grade. A2 is the most commonly used of all stainless steel fasteners.

The corrosion resistance of this steel is superior to that of standard steels such as plain steel and galvanized steel. When using this type of product outdoors in a marine environment, you should consider using A4 grade (SS316).

It is less likely that stainless steel will corrosion, rust, or stain when exposed to water as it does to ordinary steel. The material is not fully stain-proof when the ambient oxygen level is low, the salinity level is high, or the air circulation is poor.
